I hope that by this point in your detox you're doing well and settling into your routines and perhaps a new eating pattern. We're really glad you joined us and do hope this forum is just a starting off point to finding your optimal wellness!
Here are some wise words of wisdom a friend once gave to me...Hang in there girl. You are on the right track. Trust your intuition. Notice the little things that are changing - skin, hair, sleep, dreams, attitude, eye brightness, etc. Be gentle on yourself. Go inside your body and chat with her. Give her the love you would give a lover. She will respond. I find that if I give my body permission to do her house cleaning, the acceptance speeds up the process. We women tend to be harder on ourselves and readily give compassion to our dear ones. We need to learn to give compassion to US, to our beautiful selves. Keep up the great work. You are worth it! As women we tend to be passionately engaged in a lot of giving to those around us. I hope that this detox helps you to manage to take the time to nurture YOU. To love yourself, listen to and rediscover your body in a whole new way. This is a journey and we hope you'll be sticking around to continue your adventures with us. |

Here's another idea from George! This one is so simple, my son has even become an expert at it, and enjoys it!!
5 minute cabbage with ginger Ginger adds an extra zing to this easy-to-prepare cabbage dish that is sure to become a favorite addition to your way of eating. Did you know ginger is also rich in nutrients such as vitamin C, providing 141% of the Daily Value (DV) for that nutrient and 68% of the DV for vitamin K and 32% of the DV for vitamin A. Enjoy! Ingredients: 1 small head of red cabbage 1 TBS lemon juice 5 TBS low sodium chicken or vegetable broth Mediterranean Dressing 3 TBS extra virgin olive oil 1 TBS lemon juice 1 medium clove garlic, chopped or pressed Ginger, sea salt, and pepper to taste Directions: Quarter cabbage, slice into 1/4-inch strips, and let sit for at least 5 minutes to bring out the hidden health benefits of cabbage. Chop or press garlic and let sit for at least 5 minutes. Sprinkle cabbage with 1 TBS lemon juice before cooking to prevent it from turning blue. Heat 5 TBS broth over medium heat in a stainless steel skillet. When broth begins to steam, add cabbage and cover. Sauté for no more than 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl. For more flavor, toss cabbage with the dressing ingredients while it is still hot. (Mediterranean Dressing does not need to be made separately.) |

Here's an easy one from the world's healthiest foods...Fresh Herb Chicken Breast
Ingredients: 4 boneless chicken breasts 2 medium cloves garlic, pressed 1 TBS fresh squeezed lemon juice 2 tsp chopped fresh sage 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary 1/4 cup chicken broth salt and cracked black pepper Directions: Preheat broiler on high. Season chicken with a little sea salt and pepper. When pan is very hot put chicken in pan. Turn heat to low. It is best to put in middle of the oven. (Quick Broil) for about 15 minutes, or until done, depending on thickness of chicken. While chicken is cooking chop herbs. In a small skillet, add chopped herbs, lemon juice, broth, pressed garlic, sea salt, and pepper. Heat on medium heat for about 30 seconds. When chicken is done slice and place on platter. Drizzle herb sauce over chicken. Serve with Steamed Vegetables & butter ontop! Yumm-o! |

Okay, I won't bore you with clichés about Rome being built in a day, but here's the thing: Regardless of how well or how poorly you did on this detox program, the fact remains that your journey has just begun. That's an exciting thing, you know. As much as we all like to think we can "do it ourselves" the fact is, this is a shared universe, and if we had just decided to "do it on our own" instead of sharing our experiences and wisdom with others, well... there'd be many people whose lives we haven't touched.
You have the ability to touch, move and inspire the lives of others. If you believe that your health process is only about you, you might be more easily tempted to grab another cookie and slump it out on the couch. But when you consider that you have the ability to touch, inspire and improve the lives of those around you, then the game changes a bit, doesn't it? Then the motivation is different. Some say a person determines their worth by their ability to help others. It's an honorable role, and I'm asking you to take it now. The next detox class will be September 1st & our goal at the Gem Clinic is to double those in attendance, please tell your friends & family about this amazing transformation --- how they can benefit from this program --how much better you feel after detoxing for 10 days --- share your stories. Anyone can benefit from this detox program, I myself have done it several times, & I have to tell ya, once again I feel AWESOME! It works! Keep going with this, you can do it! I look forward to hearing from each one of you on your progressive journey towards ultimate health. Kiwi Kisses & Honeydew Hugs Nikki |

Hi Courtney,
I am sorry you have gained weight & I know you aren't happy about that part of it, but it is really good information. What that tells me is that you are really inflammed! Your body is dumping toxins rapidly and it can't keep up with getting them all out, which means inflammation. Basically your body is hanging onto everything...even water! This isn't all bad, your body is actually protecting itself. There are a couple scenarios here, first are you getting enough calories in daily while on the detox? The body doesn't like it when calories are restricted and will in sense shock itself. I would reccommend going back to the inflammation phase of the detox, which will include supplementing with Intenzyme forte & Beta TCP, continuing with the shakes while continuing the detox process for another 10 days. I think you will find great relief with this protocol. What about dry-brushing, the rebounder, sweating - were you able to do these while detoxing? I would love to get a better idea of what is going on with you, let Kelly know if you are interested in scheduling an appointment with either Rachel or myself. Please let me know if you have any more questions or need more support! Nikki |

Hello Nikki- I have gained 5 pounds during the detox. I am also still experiencing the body aches, restless sleeping, etc. Is this due to perhaps my being highly toxic and I can anticipate better results with continued detoxing? Many thanks-
